Has the time or date or details of one of your events changed? If you posted the event yourself on our site, then remember – You can always change the details if you’re logged into your Patch account. Failing that, leave a comment on the item in question! The issue is that lately, people have been e-mailing us, and depending on the time of the day, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes or 30 hours to get to the item, unfortunately. As a result, I encourage you all to be as proactive as possible!

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s Romanian Independence Day. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know.

It’s too bad his Westerly restaurant just recently closed. On this day in 1887, Buffalo Bill Cody opened up his show in London.

It’s a good day for musicians (and James L. Brooks). Among those celebrating birthdays – Billy Joel, Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick, Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode, Sean Altman of Rockapella and Ghostface Killah. Oh, and it’s also James L. Brooks’ 73rd birthday. Brooks has produced a slew of great content, like The Simpsons and The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Taxi and Say Anything.
