West Kingston Man Held on Molestation Charges

Rhode Island State Police arrested Kyle Correia, 28, on July 6.

A West Kingston man remains held at the Adult Correctional Institutions following his July 6 arrest on child molestation and sexual assault charges brought by Rhode Island State Police.

Kyle Correia, 28, of 427 Hog House Hill Road, had been serving a one-year suspended sentence and one years' probation on a domestic vandalism charge following his no-contest plea on May 7.

Correia had also pleaded no contest on Apr. 4 to charges of DUI and driving with a suspended license, and had been serving a one-year suspended sentence and one years' probation on each charge at the time of his recent arrest.

State Police detectives charged Correia with one count each of first-degree child molestation, first-degree sexual assault, and violating the no-contact order that had been imposed in May.

Correia is also awaiting trial on felony charges of drug possession and driving in possession of drugs brought in May by Rhode Island State Police out of the Lincoln Barracks.
