Two Rescued At Quonset Point

Crews rescue two workers overcome by paint fumes.

The North Kingstown Fire Department rescued two Quonst workers who passed out in a barge, according to reports from WJAR and the Providence Journal.

Two workers from Senesco were overcome by paint fumes inside the barge, which was docked on land, around 10 p.m. last night.

According to statements Deputy Chief Joseph Leary made to the Providence Journal, one of the men was "semi-conscious" while the other was in a "little better condition.

The two victims were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with unknown injuries after crews rescued them from the confined space.
