Robbery Suspect Awaits Extradition
After robbing the Dollar Tree on Post Road, police say the suspect fled to Florida, where he was caught last week.
The man who allegedly flashed a gun during the robbery of the Dollar Tree on Post Road in North Kingstown is awaiting extradition back to Rhode Island.
Currently being held at the Polk County Corrections Facility in Florida, Joshua Rayta, 30, was apprehended last week after an investigation following his alleged robbery of the store on Jan. 25 and his subsequent indictment on Feb. 21.
Rayta was caught on surveillance video during the robbery. Police said he displayed a handgun and demanded cash.
