Police Welcome New Officer, Award Two Others

The North Kingstown Police Department has announced two commendations and one new officer.

 

Christmas came early for three members of the North Kingstown Police Department. Two of its officers have received commendations while a third was newly sworn in to the force earlier this week.

The NKPD welcomed Officer Charles Smith Thursday during a swearing in ceremony at the police station.

Chief Mulligan also handed out commendations to Detective Donald Barrington, a 9-year member of the deartment, and Officer Todd Duchala, a 2004 graduate of North Kingstown High School who joined the NKPD this past May.
