UPDATE: Police Release Video, Audio of Robbery Suspect

The robber made off with about $200 from Engine Food Lane Sunday night, soon after attempting to rob a Shell Station.

Police continue to search for a suspect who robbed a Post Road convenience store and attempted to rob one on Ten Rod Road Sunday night, and they're asking the public for help.

The North Kingstown Police Department has posted on its website a video and audio clip of the attempted robbery at the Shell Station at 10 Ten Rod Road about 7 p.m. Sunday. The suspect entered the store wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black mask demanding money, according to a release from the North Kingstown Police Department. No weapon was shown and the clerk — after asking the suspect if he was "kidding" — refused to empty the register.

About an hour later, the suspect tried again at the Engine Food Lane at 6155 Post Road, this time showing a box cutter while demanding all the money in the cash register, police said. The clerk complied and the suspect ran off with about $200.
