3:46 p.m. – A Pro Paint employee told police a power saw was taken from the back of one of the business's vehicles sometime over the weekend while the truck was parked in the company's Babcock Road lot.

5:41 p.m. – Police arrested Jacqueline A. Osgood, 42, of Balsam Court in Saunderstown, for disorderly conduct and stealing a computer and an iPad from her husband, with whom she is in divorce proceedings. She had removed the items during a police-supervised visit to retrieve personal items from the house they used to share but was now to be her husband's. Her husband did not realize the items were missing until later. Osgood no longer had the items in her possession but after talking to police, she directed them to where they were hidden, in the woods off Slocum Road. Because of her poor attitude with police as well as false accusations against her husband, Osgood was charged with disorderly conduct, in addition to larceny for the electronics thefts. She was held for arraignment.

Wednesday, July 17

2:19 a.m. – Police arrested Marvin Gabrielle Robinson, 27, of Lenox Court, for domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct, after a 5-year-old called police to say his aunt was being beat up by "Marvin." When police arrived, Robinson was there with the woman at the top of the stairs. The woman told police Robinson hit her in the mouth causing her tooth to cut the inside of her mouth. Police saw blood on her lips. There were four young children in the apartment, two of them belonging to Robinson and the woman. Robinson was taken into custody and the woman was given domestic violence pamphlets.

1:10 a.m. – Police arrested Ryan B. Thomas, 24, of Lands End Drive, for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusing a breath test (second offense), resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, after he pulled up next to a police car stopped at Fishing Cove Elementary School for a building check. The driver, Thomas, was not wearing a seatbelt and appeared confused, according to the report. When the police officer got out to talk to Thomas, Thomas started backing up and ignored the officer's command to stop. Thomas drove out of the lot onto Wickford Point Road, bypassing a stop sign and drifting across the center lane. The car turned into Lands End Drive and pulled into a driveway. When police told him to get out of his car, Thomas said no, because this was his house. Police could smell alcohol on his breath and saw his eyes were bloodshot and watery. After Thomas ignored repeated commands to get out of his car, police pepper sprayed him. He got out of the car then but continued to resist. At the station, Thomas refused to take a test to determine his blood alcohol level.

7:38 a.m. – Police arrested Katherine Corinne Camp, 53, of Gallant Drive in Warwick, on a bench warrant after police were called to a friend's Dale Hill Road house because Camp and her boyfriend wouldn't leave. Police conducted routine checks on all three people and the warrant for Camp showed up. She was taken into custody, booked, then taken to Third District Court.

11:33 a.m. – A Middle Street resident told police she had received several unwanted text messages from an ex-boyfriend in the past two days. She said she didn't want to press charges, but asked the police to contact the man in hopes that would persuade him to stop contacting her.

The Cumberland resident said she worked from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday at the Dunkin Donuts on Ten Rod Road. She put her purse, with the medicine – Dexedrine, an amphetamine – in an unsecured place in the back room. She didn't notice the medication was missing until later in the afternoon but that she'd left her purse in her car with two of her co-workers when she checked on her son at school. She said she needed the incident documented by the police so her doctor would give her a new prescription.

7:55 p.m. – A Ten Rod Road resident told police her neighbor had just tried to run over her dogs when he arrived home. The dogs were outside unleashed at the time. The neighbor denied trying to hit the dogs but did say the dogs were frequently off leash and bothersome.
