Police Log: Narcotics Possession, Domestic Assault

Information about the following incidents was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Nathan William Morgan, 34, of 10 Cynthia Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested Feb. 11 at 11:27 a.m. on charges of obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

In August 2013, Morgan was arrested by North Kingstown police after he was found intoxicated at the North Kingstown Post Office. According to reports, Morgan admitted to police that he was a heroin user and had injected himself two hours prior. Officers found a syringe, spoon and alcohol wipes in Morgan’s pockets.

According to reports, Morgan gave officers a fake name before he was taken to detox at Kent Hospital. After checking his identification and finding a mug shot of him from the South Kingstown Police Department, police were able to accurately identify him as Nathan Morgan. A warrant for his arrest was drafted and he was taken into custody on Feb. 11.

Joshua Lee Raymond, 25, of 22 Midway Drive in North Kingstown was arrested Feb. 13 at 3:19 a.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Raymond allegedly assaulted a woman after he accused her of cheating. According to reports, he dragged her from her bed by her hair and also put his arm across her throat as he pinned her against a wall.

Raymond denied that he physically assaulted the woman. He was arrested after police saw the victim’s injuries and in conjunction with the victim’s statements.

Angel L. Valdez, 25, of 83 Gallup Street in Providence was charged with driving on a suspended license on Feb. 13 at 9:15 p.m.
