According to the girlfriend, they were both in the kitchen together when Perry showed her a record of phone calls she had made to an ex-boyfriend. The calls were made from her work phone and Perry explained he’d gotten the records through a friend on the Cranston police force. According to the police report, Perry then pulled what appeared to be a black handgun out of the manila envelope where the phone records had been and pointed it at her. The woman eventually left the room and spent the rest of the night in her bedroom. NK police contacted Perry, who admitted showing the woman the gun but said it was a BB gun for shooting squirrels in his backyard. He said the woman had mental problems and was making things up. That area code, according to the report is outside of the U.S. and has been attributed to scam phone calls. In the calls, the caller would say they had won a $45,000 prize through Publishers Clearing House but to receive the money they needed to buy a Walmart Green Dot card.
