NKPD Searching for Man who Stole Car, Purse from NK Woman

North Kingstown Police are asking for the public to help them catch a man who they say stole a car and a woman's purse from her Queen Street house earlier this year.

Police are looking for the man whose blurry visage was captured on a security camera attempting to use one of the woman's stolen cards at a Providence ATM.

The incident occurred at around 8 p.m. on May 10 and the man was reportedly a newly made friend. The victim, police said, couldn't provide a full name or identification.

The woman's car was eventually recovered abandoned on Route 95 in Warwick.

The man is believed to live in the Providence, Pawtucket or Lincoln areas.

A second suspect is involved but no description is available, police said.

If you have any information, call North Kingstown Police at 401-294-3316 ext. 8282. Det. Amanda Bodette is leading the investigation.
