A North Kingstown man wanted in connection with a robbery at a Warren coin laundry was arrested by North Kingstown Police on Sunday after officers responded to a tip.

Shane Blair Lemont, 34, of 38 Dayton Court, North Kingstown, was taken into custody without incident after police responded to his address to follow up on a warrant from the strong arm robbery out of Warren.

Warren Police identified Lemont as a suspect after an investigation of the May 8 robbery at Launder N' Luxury in their town. In that robbery, police said Lemont grabbed the arm of an employee and took money from the cash register.

Police said Lemont was also a suspect in a May 14 robbery at nearby Super Mart where he hit an employee with a wood stick as he pilfered money from the cash register.

Lemont was arraigned on Monday and is being held without bail pending a June 2 hearing.
