NK Woman Hurt after Crash

The driver was charged with DUI.

An Exeter man is facing charges of driving under the influence and a North Kingstown woman is recovering from injuries after a crash on Sunday.

The State Police said Robert Curran, 24, crashes near his house at 55 Glenrock Road at around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, injuring his passenger, Jennifer Curran, 27, of North Kingstown.

She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and where she was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

Police said Curran, who is also being charged with refusing a chemical test, veered off the road and hit a rock, causing his car to roll over.

Police said Curran was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment.
