NK Police: Wakefield Man Arrested For Stealing Metal From Narragansett Business

A look at recent police activity around town.

Robert Pimental, 46, of 32 Greenwood Drive in Wakefield was arrested Thursday at 12:05 p.m. on charges of receiving stolen goods.

Police responded to Metal Commodities  on Dec. 9 after receiving a call from a man claiming that someone had stolen staging from his business in Narragansett. The man went looking for the staging at local scrap yards, finding it at Metal Commodities on Old Baptist Road. The owner of Metal Commodities, Kenneth Christiansen, stated he remembered a man bringing in the metal the day before, but had no further identifying information for the suspect.

On Dec. 18, Christiansen called NK police, stating that the man who had dropped off the stolen metal had returned. Christiansen provided police with the suspect's registration plate, registered to Robert Pimental.
