Man Charged With Shoplifting From Walmart

Dennis Joseph Allen Sr., 50, of 320 Hillsdale Rd. in Richmond was arrested Dec. 21 at 2:40 a.m. on charges of shoplifting from Walmart.

Employees at Walmart allegedly saw Allen leave the store without paying for a shopping cart filled with merchandise. According to reports, Allen pushed the cart next to a black Cadillac owned by a family member and then re-entered the store, where he was apprehended by police while he was pushing around another cart filled with merchandise. In total, Allen allegedly stole $188 worth of goods from Walmart – including a case of bottled water, a Keurig coffeemaker, fried and roasted chicken and a several packages of spare ribs.

‘Irate’ After Missing Opening of Christmas Presents

One North Kingstown man became “irate” after he woke up late on Christmas morning and found his children had opened their presents without him. The 47-year-old man allegedly began to yell at his wife, who told police he is prone to have outbursts as of late. Nothing physical took place and police found the man up the road after he fled in the family’s minivan.
