NK Police Log: Snow Banks, Flat Tires & More

NK Man, Charged With DUI, Allegedly Drove Car Into Snow Bank 

Matthew Lattinville, 22, of 45 Arcadia Drive, was arrested Jan. 23 at 9:02 p.m. on charges of driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Lattinville allegedly crashed his Toyota Camry into a snow bank after missing his turn on to Signal Rock Road off Fletcher Road. When police arrived at the scene, they stated that Lattinville smelled of alcohol and displayed slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes. A passerby who stopped to help Lattinville said that he fell down a couple of times after exiting the vehicle. According to reports, Lattinville told officers he had been drinking that night.

After failing his field sobriety test, Lattinville was transported to the North Kingstown Police Department where he refused to take a breathalyzer. According to police, Lattinville was released to his mother with a district court summons – walking into the door jam as he attempted to exit the building.

Flat Tire Prompts Alleged Assault

Corey M. Reisner, 32, of 42 Ranger Road, was arrested Jan. 29 at 8:13 p.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Reisner allegedly got into an argument with a woman over a flat tire. According to the victim, she came home to find that her car had a flat tire. A short time later, Reisner came home (allegedly intoxicated) and admitted to causing the damage. As the argument escalated, Reisner began to throw objects around the residence and allegedly grabbed the woman by the throat. A babysitter at the residence allegedly told officers that Reisner had thrown the woman down to the ground and kicked her in the stomach.

Reisner left the residence on foot before police arrived but was picked up hours later by Coventry police.

He is set to appear in Third District Court on Feb. 21.

Man Racks Up Three Felonies For Violating No-Contact, Restraining Orders

Keith Henry Silva, 39, of 14 Marblehead St. in Warwick, was arrested Jan. 30 at 10:13 p.m. on two felony charges of violating a no-contact order, one felony charge of violating a restraining order and following a warrant for his arrest.

A woman claimed that Silva violated a no contact order when he called her more than a dozen times and pushed his way into her residence on Jan. 27. Silva turned himself in to North Kingstown police three days later.

Crystal Ann Bernardo, 31, of 25 Merrill Lane, Apt. 101, was arrested Jan. 29 at 5:15 p.m. following a warrant for her harrest.

Adam James Bernardo, 29, of 85 Manchester St. Apt. 3 in West Warwick, was arrested Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. following a warrant for his arrest.

Kristy Rene McClung, 34, of 93 Old Baptist Road, was arrested Jan. 25 at 3:25 p.m. on charges of using fraudulent checks. She is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on Feb. 14.

Christopher P. Ottaviano, 26, of 124 Johnson Blvd. in Coventry, was arrested Jan. 25 at 11:38 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana and driving in possession of a controlled substance. Ottaviano was initially pulled over for speeding on Post Road. During his stop, officers allegedly found marijuana in a backpack in Ottaviano’s car.
