NK Police Log: Sisters Allegedly Assault Couple at Kingstown Bowl

Sisters Attack Couple at Kingstown Bowl

Lisa Ann Rotondo, 47, of 16 Standish Ave. in Cranston and Jill Coffey, 43, of 3 Cedar Pond Dr., Apt. 9 in Warwick were arrested Sept. 29 at 1:49 a.m. following a fight at Kingstown Bowl.

According to police the two women (who are sisters) attacked a man and his girlfriend at the bowling alley. According to the male victim, Rotondo sucker-punched the man and also ripped his shirt. Her sister, Coffey, allegedly jabbed the man with her keys. After a crowd formed and separated the three, the sisters allegedly set the sights on the man’s girlfriend, pulling her hair and pulling her to the ground. According to reports, the crowd pulled the sisters off the woman before they fled in Coffey’s car. Prior to leaving, Rotondo told the man, “You think its over? It’s only just begun.” According to reports, the man was an ex of Rotondo’s.

Almost 5 hours later at 1 a.m., Warwick Police notified the North Kingstown Police Department that they had located Coffey and Rotondo.

Man Allegedly Drove Intoxicated From Providence to NK

Jason Michael Robinson, 39, of 81 Fourth St. in East Greenwich was arrested Sept. 30 at 1:06 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence and refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Earlier that night, Robinson had allegedly driven home from Providence. During the drive, his passenger became upset that he was allegedly driving intoxicated and made him pull over so she could call a friend for a ride. According to reports, Robinson drove to the woman’s residence and waited there for 30 minutes before driving away – at which point the woman called police and told them Robinson was driving under the influence.

According to police, Robinson smelled of alcohol when they pulled him over and he was slurring his words heavily. While exiting his car, Robinson allegedly had difficulty finding the door handle.

After allegedly failing his field sobriety test, Robinson was brought to the police station where he refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

CT Teen Cited for Alcohol Possession 

James G. Gendler, 19, of 40 Steeplechase in Avon, CT was cited Sept. 30 at 2:30 a.m. on a violation charge of possessing an alcoholic beverage by an underage person.

Gendler was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for speeding on Route 4. While speaking with Gendler and the three other men in the car (all four were under the age of 21), the officer allegedly smelled alcohol. While searching the car, officers found several empty cans of Keystone Light in a mesh bag. Gendler allegedly told police that the beers were his and that he drank two of them in the car, unbeknownst to the driver – according to reports. The driver was also cited for speeding.

 

Other Arrests...

Christopher J. Day, 25, of 300 N. Quidnessett Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested Sept. 29 at 11:06 a.m. on charges of violating a protective order. He was transported to the ACI as a violator.
