NK Police Log: Second Suspect in Attempted Robbery Arrested

NK Man Arrested After Chase on Four Wheeler

Vasilis N. Ducas, 27, of 53 Belle Air Drive in North Kingstown, was arrested Feb. 7 at 8:33 p.m. on charges of eluding police and driving on a suspended license.

Police pulled Ducas over after first seeing him driving down Quaker Lane in a four wheeler without any registration plates. According to police, Ducas allegedly drove through a stop sign without stopping, travelling 50 mph in a 25-mph zone and traveling the wrong way on Ten Rod Road as an officer followed him with his emergency lights on.

NK Teen Hit With DUI Charge 

Gregory Allen, 18, of 66 Audubon Road in North Kingstown, was arrested Jan. 29 at 2:04 a.m. on charges of drunken driving.

Police pulled Allen over after seeing him pull out of KFC (which was closed) with his headlights off. According to police, Allen appeared to be under the influence and was thus asked to take a field sobriety test. After failing his field sobriety test, Allen’s blood alcohol content allegedly tested at .116 and .114 percent at the North Kingstown Police Department.

He is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on Feb. 21.

Second Suspect in Attempted Bank Robbery Arrested

Nicole Marie Petrarca, 25, of 65 Larch Drive in Coventry, turned herself in to the North Kingstown Police Department on Jan. 27. .

Man Charged With Breaking & Entering

Randy B. Rincon, 26, of 200 Grace St. in Cranston, was arrested Feb. 2 at 2:42 a.m on charges of breaking and entering.

Rincon allegedly entered the house of a North Kingstown resident and stole two saxophones and an assortment of jewelry. According to the man’s 21-year-old son, a 6’0” black male entered his bedroom and asked if his father was home. When the son told the man that his father was at home, the man allegedly left the room. Thirty minutes later, when his parents returned home, they found an assortment of items missing.

According to the victim, he had received a call from a man two days prior inquiring about two saxophones for sale that he had posted on Craigslist. The victim said he spoke to the man on the phone and gave him his address so he could stop by and see the instruments.

He is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on March 6.

NK Teen Charged With Domestic Assault

Meredith McRae, 18, of 2 McConnell Ct. Apt. 101 in North Kingstown, was arrested Feb. 2 at 7 p.m on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

According to reports, McRae got into an argument with a family member after picking her up from Newport Hospital, prompting the family member to ask her to move out for a month.

McRae became physically aggressive when the family member asked her to move out, throwing keys and pushing the woman in an attempt to enter the residence. After she could not get into the apartment through locked doors and windows, McRae allegedly broke a window and left the area with her boyfriend.  

Other Arrests...

James E. Dumas, 47, of 128 Woodville Road in Hopkinton, was arrested Feb. 2 at 9:55 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on Feb. 21.

Jeffrey Alan Rondeau, 34, of 57 Grove Ave. Apt. 2 in North Kingstown, was arrested Feb. 2 at 4:10 p.m. on charges of possessing class C fireworks and a felony charge of receiving stolen goods.

Nathanael Alan Burgess, 31, of 35 Updike Ave. Apt. 2 in North Kingstown, was arrested Feb. 7 at 10:05 a.m. on charges of driving on a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in Third District Court on Feb. 28.
