Indecent Exposure at Dave's Marketplace Parking Lot

While unloading her groceries into her car on March 7 at around 8 p.m., a Narragansett woman alleged that a man in his mid-20s exposed himself to her.

According to the woman, a dark-colored coupe pull up next to her car. The man asked if the store was still open and if it was any good. Then, the woman said, the man paused as if to ask another question, then looked down at his genital region, allegedly revealive his pants were open.

The woman immediately got into her car, locked the door and got the car’s plate number.

The matter is still under investigation.

Warwick Woman Breaks No Contact Order

Sharon Denise Kurtz, 63, of 3687 Post Road, #A1 B2 in Warwick, was arrested on March 4 at 5:59 p.m. on charges of violating a no contact order. Kurtz was released on $5,000 personal recognizance later that night.

 

Just Looking At Otters

Daniel Lee Hobbs, 31, and Paula Kay Locke, 28, of 11 Wasp Road, were arrested on March 5 at 6:10 p.m.

Police responded to the area of Davisville Elementary School for a reported car driving on a bike path connecting to the school. When police arrived, they saw a white Ford Explorer reversing out of the path and driving away.

When police pulled over the SUV, the driver, Paula Locke, told them she was just on the way to the store with her passenger, Hobbs, to get “pickles and buns.” When police told her they saw her drive on the bike path, Locke explained that she and Hobbs went there to “relax” and look at “otters.”

Outside the SUV, Locke allegedly admitted there was “weed” in the vehicle. After Hobbs denied having anything on him that he shouldn’t multiple times, an officer allegedly pulled a plastic bag with marijuana inside from Hobbs’ hat. According to Hobbs, “It is weed that I put there earlier and forgot about.”

Hobbs is charged with possession of marijuana and Locke is charged with driving on a suspended license.

Hobbs was released on $5,000 personal recognizance while Locke is set to appear in Fourth District Court on March 22.

 

NK Man Charged With Domestic Vandalism

Paul Shanahan, 31, of 5 Dayton Court, was arrested March 5 at 10:24 p.m. on charges of domestic vandalism and disorderly conduct following an argument, in which he punched several holes in his wall.

 

Two Arrested For Shoplifting From Walmart

Kevin Scott Doran, 54, of 37 Wyndham Way, Apt. 10 in South Kingstown, and Colleen Kelly Deering, 45, of 25 Wyndham Way, Apt. 2 also in South Kingstown, were arrested March 7 at 4:30 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Walmart.

Walmart employees allegedly saw Doran and Deering put items in a Walmart bag. When the employees stopped Doran, they reportedly found a cell phone, power adapter and Wii video game in the bag, all out of their packaging. Doran’s finger was also bleeding, according to the report.

While questioning Doran, he became increasingly agitated as was placed under arrest before allegedly admitting to stealing the items.

Doran was arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance. Deery was held as a bail violator and also charged with conspiracy.

 

Warwick Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Thomas William Geuss Jr., 24, of 47 Potter Ave. in Warwick, was arrested March 7 at 9:30 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct.

According to the calling party, Geuss was threatening him at his back door before taking off down Camp Avenue.

He is set to appear in Fourth District Court on March 22.
