Brosco was allegedly driving under the influence when she crashed into a fire hydrant on Narragansett Street. According to reports, Brosco admitted to taking multiple medications and drinking an entire bottle of citrus vodka before the accident.

A neighbor heard the crash and went out to investigate and told officers that Brosco had tried to leave the scene. The neighbor added that, since she appeared to be under the influence, he turned her car off and removed her keys from the ignition.

At the hospital, officers tried speaking to Brosco, but she had allegedly fallen asleep. According to police, a nurse told officers Brosco was faking and tried to lift her eyelids, noting that Brosco was apparently trying to squeeze them shut. After that, Brosco allegedly took her confidential phone call. Brosco decided to not take a chemical test after her call.
