Man Breaks Wine Bottle, Bracelet During Alleged Dispute

Glenn Scott Davenport, Jr., 28, of 130 Yorktown Road, was arrested Aug. 16 at 4:30 a.m. on charges of domestic assault and disorderly conduct.

According to the alleged victim, on Aug. 16 the two were out to dinner when Davenport became upset that the victim had plans later. After returning home from dinner, the victim was walking to her car when Davenport allegedly poured his drink over her head and knocked a bottle of wine out of her hand.

According to reports, Davenport kicked the glass back under the victim’s car as she tried to sweep it away with a broom. Davenport also allegedly broke the victim’s bracelet as he attempted to stop her from leaving.

Three days later, the woman reportedly received a text message from Davenport asking for a ride home after a night of drinking. When the alleged victim told Davenport she was at work, he allegedly called her a liar and was said to have driven himself home.

According to reports, Davenport began yelling and using foul language toward the victim when she returned home. As the victim went into the shower in an attempt to get away from Davenport, he allegedly reached in and tried to grab her cell phone from her. When he failed to take the phone, he then allegedly turned on the water in the shower and said, “I hope your [expletive] phone gets wet.” The victim immediately left the home and went to the North Kingstown Police Department, reports say.

The argument continued even after Vought attempted to walk away as Lewis allegedly followed Vought a “considerable distance” and the two exchanged some choice words. During the argument, Lewis noticed Vought allegedly was holding a dinner knife in his hand as the two stood about 30 feet apart.
