NK Police Log: 'Coke' Party Leads to Arrest of NK Man

NK Teen Charged With Shoplifting

Sean Jeffrey Kemble, 19, of 690 Lafayette Rd. in North Kingstown was arrested Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. on charges of shoplifting from Walmart. Kemble allegedly attempted to steal two LAN electronics cables (valued at $59.94) and hide them in his pants. He was intercepted by a Walmart employee as he made his way out of the building.

Brandan Lamont Ashley, 29, of 52 Oregon Street in Providence was arrested Oct. 31 at 10:40 a.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest. Police came into contact with Ashley after a caller contacted dispatch, claiming that there was a black male in the Walmart plaza with a firearm. Police searched Ashley and found no weapons, but did discover he was wanted on a bench warrant from the Sixth Division District Court.

Albert S. Perreault, 47, of 13 Union Drive, Apt. 105 in North Kingstown was arrested Nov. 1 at 3:43 a.m. following a Superior Court bench warrant for his arrest. Police found Perreault at his apartment after a friend of his was seen behind Liberty Tax on Post Road, acting suspiciously. The friend allegedly told police he had just done cocaine at Perrault’s apartment with several other people and left because he didn’t feel well. He requested an ambulance as he “wasn’t feeling well due to the amount of cocaine he had ingested in the last two days.” Police found that Perreault was wanted on a warrant and went to the apartment to investigate. Once there, police found a glass smoking pipe but no narcotics during a plain view search. Perreault was taken to the ACI intake center.

NK Woman Charged in Domestic Dispute 

Erma Jean Celani, 57, of 178 Mt. View Ave. in North Kingstown was arrested Nov. 1 at 11:30 p.m. on charges of domestic assault, domestic vandalism, and domestic disorderly conduct. Celani allegedly assaulted her husband after he disconnected the cable in her bedroom. (He reportedly did this because she had placed Post-It notes on several items in the home that she was claiming as hers.) A physical fight ensued, with Celani after she knocked his television of the bureau. She also allegedly hit him repeatedly. According to reports, Celani admitted that she had struck her husband with the TV remote control and claimed that he had assaulted her when he held her wrists to stop her from hitting him.

Katrina C. Elswick, 22, of 68 Asqah Drive in North Kingstown was arrested Oct. 29 at 11:15 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license.
