Electric Boat Employee Charged With Pot Possession

Germaine M. King, 27, of 25 Arch Street, Apt. 2, Providence, was arrested May 2 at 9:30 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana.

King was reportedly on a lunch break from when police pulled him over. According to reports, the officer noticed a leafy substance on King’s lap and smelled marijuana in the car. King allegedly told the officer that he was “smoking weed a few minutes ago” when the officer questioned him about the smell and leafy substance. According to police, King directed police to the “rest of the blunt,” which he put in a juice bottle in the cup holder.

Woman Allegedly Rants About Mother’s Illness, Physics of Curveballs

Police responded to to do welfare check of a customer there after employees called the due to the woman’s behavior. (According to reports, the woman was asking employees if they had ever been victims of domestic violence.) By the time officers arrived, the woman had arrived at down the road to use the restroom there, where police intercepted her.

During their conversation with the 55-year-old woman, officers noted that her demeanor “shifted from upset to calm quickly and often.” Police also noted that the woman discussed multiple subjects, ranging from the illness of her deceased mother to the physics involved in pitching a curveball. (The woman allegedly theorized that baseball players used magnetic fields to assist in pitching curveballs.)

After determining that the woman was okay and did not need medical assistance, police sent her on her way.

NK Teen Allegedly Steals Sandwiches From Dave's

Jonathan Patrick Toolin, 19, of 79 Union Drive, Apt. D110, was arrested May 8 at 7:45 a.m. on charges of shoplifting from .

Dave’s employees allegedly saw Toolin attempt to leave the store with two sandwiches (priced $4.99 and $5.99) in his jacket pockets. When confronted by a store employee, Toolin allegedly asked, “Why are you giving me smack?”

An off-duty officer who was at the store detained Toolin. According to reports, Toolin told officers he was homeless and had not eaten in two days.

Anthony Louis Brewer, 47, of 149 Webster Court in Newington, CT, was arrested May 2 at 10 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on May 15.

Juan Gabriel Rodrigue, 32, of 29 Old Spring Road in Cranston, was arrested May 8 at 10:18 p.m. on charges of driving without a license.

Melissa Rene Morrison, 24, of 151 Knollwood Circle, was arrested May 4 at 12:15 p.m. following a bench warrant for her arrest.
