When North Kingstown police and federal agents arrived the home of Gary Anusavice to arrest him on charges of defrauding the Medicaid program of more than $20 million over a two-year period, they found more incriminating.

According to the North Kingstown Police Department, officers and FBI agents found three baggies of marijuana in Anusavice’s home – one on his bureau in his bedroom, another on a TV stand in his den and a third in a desk drawer in his office – during his May 24 arrest. The total weight of the marijuana was allegedly 7.9 grams. Additionally, several bongs and pipes were found throughout the residence.

On Oct. 17, North Kingstown police took Anusavice, whose current address is listed in Warren, into custody after a warrant was issued for his arrest on the marijuana possession charges.
