No, North Kingstown firefighters' uniforms are switching from red to pink. The North Kingstown Firefighters Association and NKFFA Retirees Association is participating in this year's RI Pink Heals campaign this week by wearing pink T-shirts while on duty, benefiting breast cancer awareness.
Additionally, the Rhode Island chapter of Pink Heals will be visiting the North Kingstown Fire Department headquarters on Tuesday from 8 to 9 a.m., bringing along its infamous pink fire truck.
