Night Work to Continue on Post Road, Camp Ave. for Three Weeks

An update on sewer construction.

North Kingstown has a few more weeks of construction ahead of it as crews work to finish installing sewers.

Night work at the intersection of Post Road and Camp Avenue started this past week, with alternating one-lane traffic for several nights. Work will continue on Post Road from Camp Avenue down to Dana Road (next to the YMCA) for the next three weeks, according to an advisory from the town manager's office. Night work starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m., reducing travel to one lane each one. At times, crews may have to reduce traffic patterns to one alternating lane of travel.

Starting Oct. 22, Camp Avenue will close once again as crews begin to install water lines in the area for the next two weeks. The construction of the water lines will restrict day traffic at times. During that time, motorists are to use the gate entrance at Circuit Drive in Quonset to enter the neighborhood.
