Marina Office Manager Hit With More Charges of Embezzlement

A former office manager and NK woman is now facing charges from the RI State Police.

The former office manager of a North Kingstown marina is facing a second charge of embezzlement, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

Troopers arrested Maureen Rondeau, 43, of Grove Avenue on Wednesday, July 11 following an investigation that allegedly found she had embezzled roughly $8,000 from a North Kingstown business. Last December, .

According to the NKPD’s investigation, Rondeau allegedly stole the money from over a period of about two years. Police found that Rondeau had allegedly altered more than 75 checks (totaling $105,000), changing the intended payee to her name and cashed the checks. Additionally, the NKPD found that she had transferred about $93,000 to her person account over the years to pay her credit card bills.
