charged a 35-year-old man with assault after he allegedly shot seven rounds of ammunition into an Orchard Street home on Sept. 5 at about 9:30 p.m.
Six people were in the building at the time. No one was hurt during the shooting, according to reports from the department.
Police charged Roberto Escaler with six counts of assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle; all charges are felonies. The investigation is continuing as police search for the gun, although several shell casings have been found, according to reports.
