Armed Robber Holds Up Dollar Store; Police Look For Suspect

The robbery took place Saturday night around 9.

North Kingstown police are looking for a man accused of holding up the Dollar Tree store, 6649 Post Road, Saturday night around 9 p.m. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man entered the store, approached a clerk and, holding a black handgun, demanded money, according to a press release issued by the police. 

The suspect, a white male described as being of average height and weight and wearing a blue coat, jean pants, ball cap and ear-muffs, then fled the scene in what police believe was a dark color Jeep Cherokee-style vehicle with Rhode Island license plates.
