$2,800 Stolen from Car

Police said the victim reported that someone entered her car sometime overnight, stealing a file binder containing $2,800 cash.

North Kingstown Police are investigating a larceny from a motor vehicle on Friday during which the culprit made off with $2,800 cash.

Police said they got a report from a Merrill Lane resident on Friday afternoon that someone entered her car overnight and stole items, including a binder containing all her bills and cash to the tune of $2,800.

The victim told police that the suspect took a pink handbag from the back seat that contained an old laptop and the file binder containing the bills and cash.

Police said the victim left her car unlocked. 

Police are investigating.
