Obituary: Vasilis N. “Billy” Ducas, 29

Vasilis N. “Billy” Ducas, 29, of North Kingstown, passed away Friday, Jan. 10. Born in Warwick, he was the beloved son of Sevasti “Tula” and Frank Rivera of North Kingstown.

Billy attended North Kingstown High School. He was a cook at his family’s restaurant, Tony’s Pizza. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and animals. 

Besides his parents, he leaves the loves of his life, his sons, Alexandros Ducas and Marshall Casey both of North Kingstown; his brother, Myles Rivera of North Kingstown; his maternal grandparents, Nikiforos and Frangeska Revis of North Kingstown; his paternal grandmother, Sara Rivera of Narragansett; his uncle, Christos Revis of North Kingstown; his aunt, Kathy Tarbox and her husband Ed of Warwick; and his cousins, Nicky and Eddy Paul Tarbox. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Thursday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours take place Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alexandros Ducas Education Fund, C/O Frank & Sevasti Rivera, 48611 Town Center Place, Columbia, S.C. 29229.
