Obituary: Rosalind F. (Butler) Hawkins, 85

Rosalind F. (Butler) Hawkins, 85, of Saunderstown, passed away Friday, Sept. 27. She was the wife of the late Frank L. Hawkins.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late James and Rose (Cabana) Butler. Mrs. Hawkins worked for North Kingstown Town Hall in the records department for many years before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church.

She leaves five children, David Hawkins and his wife Dana, Robert Hawkins and his wife Debra, Richard Hawkins and his wife Muffy, Christine Hill and Mark Hawkins and his wife Heather; three sisters, Pauline Anderson and her husband Harry, Ann Benz and her late husband Fritz, Helena McKiernan and her husband Gerald; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leo and Jack Butler.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, at 8:45 from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Home & Hospice Care of R.I., South Team, 1085 North Main St., Providence, R.I. 02904 are appreciated.
