Obituary: Patricia D. Keane, 76

Keane, Patricia D., 76, passed away January 10, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Keane. Born in Brighton, Mass., she was a daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (O'Malley) Byrne.

Mrs. Keane was a former member of Quidnessett Country Club and the Tennis Club of Rhode Island and was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Parish, North Kingstown. 

She was the beloved mother of Marie Katherine MacIntyre and her husband John of Portsmouth, Patricia Ann Whelan and her husband, John, of East Greenwich, Robert E. Keane, Jr., and his wife, Geralyn, of Winchester, Mass., and Karen Lynne Brownell and her husband, Mark, of Douglas, Mass., and loving grandmother of nine grandchildren: Kara J. and Kayla M. MacIntyre, Ryan P. and Kerri E. Whelan, Erika M., Robert E., III and John J. Keane, and Mark A., II and Grace C. Brownell. She was the sister of Mary Francis Connors, William Joseph Byrne, Jr., Joan Marie McCarthy and the late Margaret Rogers. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St., North Kingstown. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown. Calling hours are Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Women & Infants Hospital N.I.C.U., Providence, R.I.
