Obituary: Margaret Liston (Hatcher), 83

Liston, Margaret (Hatcher), 83, of North Kingstown passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2012. She was the wife of the late John M. Liston (Cdr. US Navy – retired).

Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Catherine (Brady) Hatcher. She leaves four sons, John B. Liston of Warwick, Michael E. Liston of Arlington, TX, Francis X. Liston of Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Daniel V. Liston of Leonardtown, MD; three daughters, Catherine L. Irvin of The Woodlands, TX, Patricia L. Martin of Rehoboth, MA and Mary Elizabeth Dion of Sunderland, MA; and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Liston was a communicant of . She was also an active member in the community as a volunteer at local election polls, taught English as a second language and for many years read travel articles on INSIGHT radio.    

Her funeral will be held Friday, May 18 at 9 a.m. at , 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at , 381 School Street, North Kingstown. Burial will be in , North Kingstown.

Visiting hours Thursday 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Home, 1 St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, RI 02818 will be appreciated.
