J. Gary Schmidt, 65, of Sachem Road, died peacefully on April 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband and soul mate of Kerrie (Cox) Schmidt.
Born in San Diego, CA, a son of Doris (Meagher) Schmidt of Pensacola, FL and the late William Schmidt, he lived in North Kingstown for many years.
Gary was a graduate of North Kingstown High School Class of 1967.
Besides his wife of 35 years, he is survived by two daughters; Jessica L. Rosseau and her husband Thomas J. Rosseau of Warwick and Mallorie A. Schmidt and her fiancé Jason A. Terry of Warwick, a granddaughter; Kamryn J. Terry., a sister; Donna Schmidt Welch, two brothers; Paul and Steven Schmidt all of Pensacola, FL, and his devoted dog Lucy.
