Obituary: Edward L. Turner, 80, Navy Seabee

Edward L. Turner, 80, a resident of Orrin’s Way and former longtime resident of North Kingstown, RI, died suddenly Sunday, May 4, 2014 at his residence. 

Edward was born January 10, 1934 in North Stratford, NH , the son of Merle and Dorothy Beauchemin Turner, and is a graduate of Bryant University with a master’s degree in Business.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Edward served over 35 years in the Navy Seabees, constructing bases all over the world. Most recently, he has been active with Seabee Veterans of America.
Edward is predeceased by two brothers, Robert Turner and Fred Turner.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Sallie Jones Turner of Kennebunk, three sons Lindsay Turner and Gary Turner, both of West Greenwich, RI, Tim Turner of Griswold, CT, a daughter Michelle Towne of Kennebunk, Three brothers, Merle Turner Jr,of Chatham NH, Howard Turner of Saco ME, and John Turner of Buxton, ME. two sisters Louise Hill of Lyman ME and 
Virginia Walker of Arundel ME, and 7 grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date and announced by Bibber Memorial Chapel.
Interment will be in Pinegrove Cemetery, West Kennebunk.
Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk.
