Obituary: David M. Freeborn, 92, WWII Veteran, Toolmaker

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

David M. Freeborn, 92, of North Kingstown, died at home on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.  He was the husband of Norma J. (Rubery) Freeborn.  They were married for 67 years.  Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Helen Freeborn Low, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was born in East Greenwich, the son of the late Millard and Laura (Haggarty) Freeborn. 

Mr. Freeborn was a retired toolmaker, having worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 31 years.  During, WWII he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 10:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.  For online messages of condolence, kindly visit www.CranstonMurphy.com
