Alice B. (Boulester) Zanecchia of North Kingstown passed away Sunday, Dec. 23. She was 86 years old. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Alexander R. Zanecchia. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Warren M. and Phoebe A. (Babbitt) Boulester.
Zanecchia was a bookkeeper for The Industrial Bank for many years. She was a member of the Rhode Island Mineral Hunters, Inc.; Eastern Federation; the North Kingstown Senior Association; URI Master Gardeners (Hall of Famer); and The Ladies Auxiliary "Honeybee" for the Navy Seabee Veterans.
Besides her husband, Zanecchia leaves behind her niece Martha L. FIsher of Coventry, nephew Bruce W. Boulester of Minnesota and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her step-daughter, Linda Smith, of Texas. She was predeceased by her brother Warren B. Boulester.
Calling horus are scheduled at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick) on Friday, Dec. 28 from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a committal service at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence 02904.
