Blanche Menna, 89: Resident of Scalabrini Villa

The North Kingstown resident passes away on July 12, 2013.

Blanche Menna,, 89, formerly of Farmington Ave., Cranston, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown. 

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (Moraconi) Menna, she was a lifelong resident of Cranston before moving to North Kingstown in 2003.

Blanche was manager of the luncheon counter at the former W.T. Grant Company in downtown Providence for many years and later worked at Monet Jewelry Company in Pawtucket before retiring.  She was a communicant and volunteer at St. Bartholomew Church in Providence; a member of the Daughters of Isabella; and was a member of the Cranston Senior Center.

She was the dear sister of the late Antonio Menna, Jr. and Josephine Lombardi; dear sister-in-law of the late Anna Menna and Fred Lombardi; and loving aunt of Rita L. Minahan of Boston, MA, Carol J. Nonis of Narragansett, Antonio Menna III of Johnston, Mark Menna of Cranston and the late Arlene Menna.

Funeral from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial  in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence, at 10 a.m.  Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. 

Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
