Not Your Normal Collection Can

Support your local business and give back to military families in need.

If you've been out and about in North Kingstown in the past few hours, you may be wondering what the deal is with the camouflaged-colored paint cans at select local businesses.

Eighteen North Kingstown businesses (and one South Kingstown business!) will be collecting donations for the . This year's event benefits military families in need and the proceeds from these military-inspired paint cans will go straight to families in Rhode Island.

But, this is more than just collection cans on a counter. Because North Kingstown loves competition (!), we want to see which business can raise the most money for the Heels & Wheels Foundation.

The business that collects the most money will win two tickets the Heels gala on June 1 (to either keep or donate), a Patch goodies gift basket and (of course) bragging rights.

The competition runs from April 25 to May 23. Collections cans will be at the following locations:
