Paws for a Cause Calendar Celebration

The North Kingstown Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce the unveiling of its latest calendar project, the 2011 Paws for a Cause Calendar, featuring North Kingstown people and their pets. This colorful 12-month wall calendar features some local folks with their favorite dogs and cats. There's a decidedly nautical flavor to a number of the pages of this local calendar featuring some real salty dogs and their owners too. And, there's even a memoriam to a local octopus, Nova television notable Ruby the Octopus, of the Biomes Marine Biology Center at Shady Lea Mill.

This coming Saturday, November 20 the Foundation plans to kick off its sales effort, and celebrate both the owners and their best friends at Updike Park, on Brown Street in Wickford, 2-4 p.m.  There will be plenty of hot cider, snacks, and some tasty dog bones for all the four-legged attendees. Calendars will be available for purchase for $15 dollars.

All proceeds from the calendar will go to North Kingstown Chamber Foundation charities including the North Kingstown Food Pantry, Laymen in North Kingstown Schools, and local scholarships. A portion of the proceeds from this project will also go to the NK Animal Shelter.  Help out local charities by giving a fun, useful and charitable gift for your holiday buying. It's a gift idea that's off the leash!
