North Kingstown Scouts to Host Town-Wide Scouting Day

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from across North Kingstown will be showcasing Scouting in a community-wide event on Saturday, September 10 on the grounds of Wickford Middle School. The event is open to the public and will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.   

The event will feature a variety of games and activities, and include presentations from local emergency personnel and fire trucks on-site during the day.  Outdoor showcases will include, Pinewood Derby race demonstrations, camp sites, and other scouting activities. Families interested in signing up to join a local Pack or Troop, will also have the opportunity to do so at the event.

The Boys Scouts of America’s Cub Scouting program is for boys who are in the first through the fifth grade. They participate in family-centered activities, group activities, learning and having fun.
