  1. Celebrate today down at Wickford Junction, the future site of an Amtrak train station. Gov. Lincoln Chafee and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse will be on hand to celebrate the event. Kicks off at 2 p.m.
  2. Watch some great local talent and help a great cause tonight by attending the at . Proceeds from the event benefit the school's Science Olympiad team, who looks to raise money to go to the National Science Olympiad in Wisconsin later this month. , becoming the first North Kingstown school to do so. The event kicks off at 7 p.m.
  3. Tonight kicks off the two-day fundraiser event, Heels & Wheels. Head down to the tonight for the from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. for dancing, auctions, dinner and live music courtesy of the Felix Brown Band. Tickets are $95 with proceeds benefiting A Wish Come True, a foundation granting wishes to seriously-ill children in RI and southeast Massachusetts. Contact 295-5566 for tickets. Tomorrow, head over to the Wickford town parking lot of a down to the town beach for a family-friendly tailgate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
