Tuesday

School Committee | 7 p.m. at

Planning Commission | 7:30 p.m. at

In their first meeting of 2012, the North Kingstown Planning Commission looks to discuss changes to the town's animals and livestock ordinance. A resident's complaints about her neighbor's chickens earlier this month have prompted the discussion. The commission will also hear an update on transfer development rights (TDRs), village centers and discuss rewrites for the town's groundwater protection plan as well as an ordinance for farmers markets. The Healthy Places by Design project continues with a working group this week. Wednesday's meeting will address the walking and biking issues in town. This event is open to the public but RSVPs are requested to dkaplin@gpymca.org with 24 hours notice.

In its second meeting of the week, Healthy Places by Design meets with the town's leisure services advisory committee to discuss public spaces and recreation in town. This event is open to the public but RSVPs are requested to dkaplin@gpymca.org with 24 hours notice.

Friday

DMS students are welcome to come hang out with friends, play basketball, ping pong, board games, video games and more. Admission is $5 but bring money for snacks, too.

Saturday

| 10 a.m. at

Boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 18 years old as of April 30, 2012 are welcome to register for the North Kingstown American Little League this Saturday.
