Join the for a business after hours at El Tapatio. Event includes delicious Mexican fare, networking and door prizes. $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

Wednesday’s program is a first in a series hosted at the library – examining the local food movement and how it’s playing out in the Ocean State. Can you buy local year-round? Is it affordable? Farm Fresh Rhode Island will be on hand to answer these questions and more with their presentation. Please register for this program.

 

Thursday

Seize this superb opportunity to introduce you and your child to North Kingstown High School. Thursday’s event will include a presentation – giving an overview of the school and its programs – and even a Q&A with administrators and guidance counselors.

 

Saturday

Bats are nocturnal, rarely seen and thought to be spooky. (And possibly vampires.) In reality, the bat population is in rapid decline throughout the country. DEM wildlife biologist, Charlie Brown, will offer his presentation on these misunderstood mammals – Yes, they’re mammals. Deal with it. – and answer questions. Please register for this program.

 

| 2 p.m. at North Kingstown Free Library

Learn about the role of slavery in North Kingstown history with past president of Smith’s Castle, Neil Dunay, as he gives a preliminary overview of information about slaves at Cocumcussoc gleaned from historic records at hand. Register online.
