Reaction: Community Reacts To Death Of Osama Bin Laden

How do you feel about the news? Tell Patch today.

Many Americans awoke this morning to a bit of news we've been waiting nearly a decade to hear: Osama bin Laden is dead. News of the extremist terrorist's death at the hands of the U.S. military has swept the national and international community since Sunday evening's announcement by President Barack Obama.

However, this conversation is also an intensely local one with many North Kingstown families thinking of their loved ones serving in the U.S. military abroad. Keep an eye out for Patch reporters and photographers on the streets of North Kingstown as we look to get your perspective on this news.

How does this announcement affect you? Has this brought a significant degree of closure to our nation's efforts to combat terrorism in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks?
