Where/When: , 100 Boone St., North Kingstown, Saturday Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. 

Why Go: Bring your little sweethearts down to the North Kingstown Free Library and let them go crazy as they decorate cards and yummy Valentine cookies for the low price of $0.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 481 Davisville Rd., North Kingstown, Saturday Feb. 12 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Why Go: It's the perfect weather to huddle around the fireplace at Davisville Free Library and listen to the likes of Thomas Edison, Captain Updike and the Unsinkable Molly Brow speak about their lives and adventures. Musical entertainment courtesy of the Quaker Notes string quartet. This event also features a basket raffle fundraiser.

Pricing: Free if not participating in raffle.

Where/When: Cold Spring Community Center, 30 Beach St., North Kingstown, Saturday Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Kick the cabin fever and hit up this indoor yard sale. Proceeds go to benefit the NK 10U girls softball team.

Pricing: Free admission.

 

4. NKHS Music Department Fundraiser At Junction Trattoria & Bistro

Where/When: , Sunday Feb. 13

Why Go: Get some great grub for a great cause. The cast of the NKHS Music Department's production of West Side Story will play waiststaff Sunday night to raise funds for the department. Ten percent of food sales as well as tips from 4 to 8 p.m. will benefit the musical. Money raised will offset the cost of costumes, props and set for the show.

Price: Just money for food.

 

5. URI Men's Basketball vs. Charlotte

Where/When: Ryan Center, One Lincoln Almond Plaza, Kingston, Saturday Feb. 12 at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Bust out the Keaney blue attire and grab the kids for this week's matchup down at the Ryan Center. The University of Rhode Island men's basketball team squares up against Charlotte.

Pricing: Tickets starting at $11.
