  • The annual Historic Wickford meeting kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the tonight. Enjoy wine, cheese and good company, and see a presentation on the Hussey Bridge. Also on tonight’s agenda, an update on HistWick’s strategic plan and a brief business meeting to elect new directors. Nominees for the HistWick Board of Directors include:

  • On Wednesday, found its in as many days. Principal Ruthanne Logan is urging parents to talk to their children and be “vigilant about monitoring their internet usage.” If you have any leads or information regarding this most recent threat, please contact the school immediately.
  • The Rhode Island Home Show opens today at the RI Convention Center in Providence. Locals businesses like Voila, Bryant Construction, Greanseal, artist Nina Ackmann, Five Main, Wickford Art Association and others will be there hosting exhibits. The show runs through Sunday.
  • Tomorrow’s April Fools. Stay on guard. (If you’re looking for an excuse to procrastinate, check out some of the most epic pranks ever here.)
  • By the time you read this, you’ll probably be looking at a rainy morning. That rain looks to continue into the afternoon. Snow showers are expected into the early morning Friday with high winds.
