We've made it to March, the month of St. Patrick's Day and when things (hopefully) begin to thaw. Here are a few things you might need to know to kick off the first day of this lovely month.
- The Economic Development Advisory Board will be meeting tonight at 5 p.m. at the Town Hall Conference Room, 80 Boston Neck Rd. The main topic of discussion will be a new marketing campaign that looks to foster a "business-friendly" environment in North Kingstown.
- The Planning Commission will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m., also in the Town Hall Conference Room. The commission will set a date for the next hearing on the Stamp Farm turbine and discuss plans for land owned by Richard Schartner.

- The playoff schedules were finalized today for high school basketball and North Kingstown looks to have two chances at a state championship. The NK boys basketball team takes on Rogers at Providence Career & Technical Academy on March 5 at 2 p.m.
