Five Things: Flag Day, Skippers Baseball

Your guide for life in North Kingstown today, June 14.


Flag Day: Got an old American Flag? North Kingstown VFW Post 152 is providing residents free disposal of worn and unserviceable U.S. Flags. Please drop off unserviceable U.S. Flags to the North Kingstown Senior Center. A proper flag ceremony and disposal will be performed by our local VFW Members as per flag code on Flag Day June 14th, at 4:30 p.m. at Cold Spring Beach Center/Community Center parking lot area. 

Storytime: Storytime at the Davisville Free Library is held Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m.

Skippers Baseball playoffs: The NKHS Boys Baseball team has made it to the final four in D I baseball. They take on East Greenwich tonight at McCarthy Field in West Warwick at 6:30 p.m. Go Skippers!

Soccer tryouts: Bruno United is holding soccer tryouts for kids U9 and U11 tonight at Wide World of Sports, 1610 Davisville Road. Registration at 5:30 p.m. Bring a soccer ball, shin guards and a water bottle.

Kids Night Out: On Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., kids can enjoy the fun and familiar surroundings of Kids Care while parents leave the building without worry. Dinner is provided. Registration is required.  Children must be potty-trained. $14. Please contact Emily Manz emanz@gpymca.org.
