EVENT OF THE DAY: Balloon Festival
URI hosts the 33rd annual South County Hot Air Balloon Gestival today and all weekend.
Take in the majesty of giant baloons soaring high in the air at the33rd annual Hot Air Balloon Festival at University of Rhode Island, 2600 Kingstown Rd, Kingston, today and all weekend.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival has been ranked one of Rhode Island's top 20 events. IN addition to the main attraction, there is fun for the whole family: fireworks, music, a catch and release fishing pond, pony pides, a petting zoo, amusements, crafts and much more.
The festivities go on all day today, Saturday and Sunday, followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. Saturday. Best of all, the event is free and open to all. For more information, visit www.wakefieldrotary.com/BalloonFestival.cfm.
